Structured Pack Walks in Tulsa
Forget the chaotic dog park. We meet up for structured walks in the real world to build your pup's focus and confidence, regardless of the distractions around us.
A little behind the scenes from a Bat Dog night with the Tulsa Drillers. My dogs Mia and Floki get to show off their skills by retrieving bats, and it's a huge crowd-pleaser!
Getting into the holiday spirit! We took a festive pack walk to see the Christmas lights, and these three good dogs posed perfectly for a holiday photo.
Our Christmas pack walk was a blast! The dogs got to practice their calm behavior around festive decorations and even met the Grinch.
We love participating in local events like Tulsa's Mayfest. It's the ultimate real-world test for distraction training, and the dogs always do great.
Another shot from our Mayfest pack walk. These dogs are pros at holding a 'place' command, even with all the excitement of the festival happening around them.
Getting our green on for the St. Patty's Day pack walk! Themed walks are a fun way to add a little extra excitement to our training sessions.
A fall-themed pack walk complete with pumpkins! We take advantage of every season to get out and work with our pups in new and interesting settings.
About this collection
These aren't your typical free-for-all dog park visits. Because we work on real-world obedience and leash manners in high-distraction environments like the Gathering Place or stadium events, these walks are strictly for my current or past training clients. This ensures every dog in the pack already has the foundational skills needed to stay safe and calm, letting us focus on the fun stuff like holiday themes, relay games, and navigating crowds.
Why Structured Pack Walks Matter
Real-world socialization isn't about letting dogs run wild; it's about teaching them to exist calmly near other people and animals. When we walk through places like Turkey Mountain or local festivals, I'm right there managing the environment. We aren't just walking; we're practicing 'place' commands on benches, navigating busy roads, and maintaining neutrality while other dogs pass by.
The 'Klever K9' Approach
I treat every walk like a training session. If a dog struggles with leash reactivity or possessive behavior, these walks provide a controlled setting to work through those issues without the unpredictability of a standard dog park.
- Environment: We tackle real Tulsa landmarks, from the Gathering Place to drillers games, ensuring your dog learns to listen everywhere, not just in a quiet backyard.
- Safety First: I limit capacity and map out routes to ensure we always have the right trainer-to-dog ratio.
- Beyond Training: It’s also about community. We’ve done costume contests, holiday light walks, and even Bat Dog appearances. It’s training that feels like an adventure, not a chore.
How to Join
Since safety is my priority, these group walks are exclusively for my current or former training clients. This means every dog in the pack is already working from the same rulebook, which makes the experience safer and more productive for everyone involved. If you're a new client looking to join the pack, we start with private consultations or bootcamps to build that initial foundation.
Tulsa Dog Trainer
I’m the human behind the leash, and I treat every pup like my own. Whether we're tackling a busy street for distraction training or showing off as Bat Dogs at a Drillers game, my goal is to help you build a solid, calm bond with your dog.
