Featured Pack Walks and Community Training Events
We turn real-world distractions into training opportunities. Take a look at what our pack walks in Tulsa look like out in the wild.
This is what our pack looks like! We get together for structured group walks, giving our dogs a chance to socialize safely and practice their training in the real world. It’s an amazing community of dog owners.
I get asked a lot about "proper socialization." This video shows exactly what I mean. It's about teaching your dog to be calm and confident in different environments, not just letting them run wild at a dog park.
We have a blast at special events, like being the official Bat Dogs for the Tulsa Drillers! My dogs Mia and Floki love the job, and it's a perfect example of advanced training in a high-distraction environment.
My pack walks are never boring. We often mix in fun obedience games like this relay race we did for St. Patrick's Day to test everyone's skills and keep the dogs engaged.
A typical pack walk scene. Owners and their dogs practice staying calm and focused while walking together. This structured approach helps dogs with leash manners and reactivity around other dogs and people.
We love exploring different spots around Tulsa. Here's a happy pup enjoying a beautiful day during our pack walk at Turkey Mountain, one of our favorite locations for a change of scenery and new challenges.
Looking for safe playtime? I also host small, supervised doggie playdates for my clients. It's a great way for dogs to interact off-leash and for you to learn more about dog body language from me.
About this collection
These sessions are strictly for current or past clients only, so we can keep the focus on training rather than managing chaos. We use these walks to practice obedience in real-life spots like Turkey Mountain, helping your dog stay calm while we navigate traffic, other dogs, and new environments.
Why We Do Pack Walks
Most dog parks are a free-for-all, and that is not where real learning happens. My pack walks are structured training sessions disguised as adventures. When we are out at The Gathering Place or hitting the trails, your dog is practicing how to exist calmly near other dogs without needing to interact with them constantly. This is the foundation of true socialization.
The Real-World Factor
Training in a classroom is easy because the environment is controlled. Training on a busy sidewalk or in a park is different. We work on leash manners, responding to your commands amidst distractions, and building your confidence as a handler. Whether it is a holiday-themed relay race or just a standard group walk, every session has a goal. We want to ensure your dog can handle the sights, sounds, and people of Tulsa without losing their focus on you.
What to Expect
- Client-Only Access: I keep these groups small and exclusive to my current or past clients. This ensures everyone understands the training techniques we are using.
- Variable Locations: We rotate between Turkey Mountain, Riverside, and various community events to keep things fresh.
- Expert Oversight: I am right there managing the group, keeping an eye on body language, and helping you navigate potential stressors before they become issues.
If you are looking to get your dog out of the house and into a real-world training environment, this is how we do it. It is not always perfect, but that is what real life looks like.
Tulsa Dog Trainer
I'm the trainer behind the leash, and I treat every dog like one of my own. My pack walks aren't just about movement, they are about strengthening the bond you and I have already started building during our private or board-and-train sessions.
