Puppy Foundation Training in Tulsa
Puppyhood is a whirlwind of socks, sharp teeth, and sleepless nights. My foundation program turns that chaos into a well-mannered companion, using real-world training to set you both up for success.
Bringing home a puppy is a big step. I've put together some tips on normal things to expect to help put your mind at ease and get you off on the right paw.
It's normal for puppies to whine and "scream bloody murder" the first couple of weeks while getting used to the crate. Consistency is key to teaching them it's a safe space.
It's normal to limit puppies to a small, puppy-proofed space in the house for at least the first couple of months. This helps with potty training and prevents destructive habits.
It's normal for puppies to be mouthy when they want to play and to be interested in everything. Our job is to teach them appropriate ways to use their mouths.
It's normal for puppies to flop around like an alligator and be resistant when you first put a leash on them. We make this a positive experience to build a good foundation for walks.
It's normal for puppies to need to pee multiple times in a very short timeframe. Their bladders are tiny, so frequent potty breaks are a must.
Frank the Frenchie puppy came to us for help with potty training. A two-week bootcamp was a great way to get him on a consistent schedule for success.
About this collection
I don't just teach the standard obedience commands in a sterile classroom. We tackle the real-life issues that actually cause stress, like the biting, the crate crying, and the potty accidents, so you can stop managing chaos and start enjoying your puppy.
Puppyhood is wild. It is full of sharp teeth, missed potty signals, and that tiny voice inside your head wondering what you got yourself into. That is completely normal, and it is exactly why I designed this foundation program.
Why start now?
Puppies are sponges. They are learning what the world is, how to interact with it, and where they fit in your family. If you wait until they are older to address behavior, you are fighting habits they have already practiced for months. My program fixes those early-stage hurdles before they become lifelong issues.
What we actually do
We focus on the essential skills that make your life easier:
- Crate Training: Turning that metal cage into a safe, calm den instead of a place where they scream the house down.
- Potty Training: Establishing a routine so you stop cleaning your floors and start trusting your dog.
- Impulse Control: Teaching them that they do not get everything they want just because they bark or nip.
- Handling & Socialization: Getting them comfortable with being touched, vet visits, and the busy, loud streets of Tulsa.
This is not about rigid, robotic obedience. It is about communication. I will show you how to read your puppy's body language so you know when they need to go out, when they need to nap, and when they are just testing your boundaries. We take the stress out of the process, keep the sessions light, and make sure you feel confident continuing the work at home. If you are tired of the constant puppy chaos, let's get together and build that foundation.
