Training isn't about perfect classroom obedience. It’s about building a calm, confident dog that listens even when life gets noisy. See what real-world results look like.

This is what real-life dog training looks like. I often get told that I make it look easy, so here’s a live session of me desensitizing bootcamp dogs to a vacuum while they practice the 'place' command. It takes a lot of patience and consistency, but seeing them learn to stay calm when something is scary is worth all the messy, hard work.

Meet Owen, one of my amazing graduates. He came to me needing to learn the basics, but his biggest issue was reacting to other dogs on his leash. Now, look at that happy, confident smile. This is the goal: a dog that is relaxed and can enjoy being out in the world with you.

I get a lot of questions about "proper socialization." It's not about chaotic dog parks. It's about calmly exposing your dog to different environments, people, and noises, like you see here with my pack. This builds a confident, neutral dog that you can take anywhere, from a patio to a vet appointment.

This is what structure at home looks like. Goose and Lolo are practicing their 'place' command, which gives them a designated spot to relax. This simple command is a game-changer for creating a calm household and teaching dogs impulse control, especially when you have guests or are cooking dinner.

This is Crash, and that happy face tells the whole story. He came to me with a fear of men, which is a tough hurdle. We worked on fundamentals, but more importantly, we focused on building positive relationships with new people through calm, structured exposure. Now he's a happy, handsome boy.

Training can also be a ton of fun. Here are two of my personal dogs, Mia and Floki, getting ready for a Bat Dog night with the Tulsa Drillers. This level of obedience in a high-distraction environment like a baseball stadium shows what's possible when you put in the work.

Here’s a look at how a first leash training session with Margo started and how it ended just 15 minutes later. With the right guidance and clear communication, we can turn that pulling and resistance into a beautiful, loose-leash walk. It’s all about teaching them to tune into you.

About this collection

You'll notice that none of these photos are taken in a sterile studio. That’s intentional. Whether it’s desensitizing a pup to a vacuum or managing leash reactivity on a busy street, I document the actual work—the moments that aren't always pretty but are necessary for progress. If you’re ready to stop guessing and start seeing real changes in your dog's behavior, let's talk about what the path to success looks like for you.

I believe that if you can't get your dog to listen in your own living room or on a walk, then classroom tricks don't mean much. My approach to training in Tulsa is about meeting your dog where they are, whether that’s a puppy that thinks the world is a giant toy or a rescue dog struggling with fear or leash reactivity.

The Reality of Training

People often see my videos or photos and say, 'Man, you make it look easy.' I always tell them the same thing: it is a messy process. It takes massive amounts of patience, consistency, and a willingness to handle the chaos before you get to the calm. We aren't just teaching 'sit' or 'stay.' We are working on impulse control, threshold manners, and the 'Place' command so you can actually enjoy a quiet evening without your dog pacing or jumping on guests.

Why Real-World Matters

I don't limit my training to a facility. We go on field trips to parks, stores, and sidewalks. This is where the real learning happens. By exposing your dog to 'real-life' distractions—like other dogs, noises, and movement—we build a neutral, confident state of mind. This is what makes the difference between a dog that listens only when it is quiet and a dog that remains composed when you are out in public.

Getting Started

Whether you need help with a 21-day residential bootcamp for behavioral issues or just want a better foundation for your new puppy, the work we do together is about setting you up for the long haul. You will get hands-on coaching during the transfer session because the change sticks only when you and your dog learn the new rules of the road together. Let's get you off on the right paw.
