Diwali is my favorite time to work because I get to combine the tradition of shagun with the excitement of modern unboxing. In my studio in Worli, I spend weeks sourcing everything from reusable acrylic bags to heavy metallic trays, ensuring that my Diwali gift hampers look beautiful long after the sweets are eaten.
What makes my work different is the balance. I do not believe in generic gift sets. My process starts with a conversation about who you are gifting and what mood you want to set. If it is for family, we lean into traditional dry fruit combinations, handcrafted diyas, and warm, floral arrangements. For office gifting or corporate Diwali hampers, I focus on packaging that is durable yet striking, using sleek gold mesh boxes or sturdy laser-cut trays that look impressive on a desk.
