The Visual Identity of Karnivore Kitchen
A look at the Bannur Ram, the spices, and the design language behind our 150-year-old family legacy.
This is the official logo for Karnivore Kitchen. The design represents the ethos of my brand, showcasing my love for both pork and the majestic Bannur lamb, all in a simple, earthy style.

About Additional Work
These designs are not just for show. The Bannur Ram you see in our logo and menu background is the heart of what I do. It represents the specific, fatty, high-quality meat I insist on using, and the Devanagari script etched into the 'KK' is a nod to the 150-year-old family history that defines every recipe coming out of my kitchen.
When I started Karnivore Kitchen, I did not want a cookie-cutter brand. I wanted a visual identity that screams Old Bangalore Naati as loud as the food does. I teamed up with one of my earliest patrons, Achintya Venkatesh, who saw my passion for these meaty delicacies and decided to translate it into ink.
The brief was simple: keep it raw, earthy, and meaty. We did not want anything polished or corporate. The centerpiece is the Bannur Ram. This is a tribute to the prized Bannur lamb that forms the backbone of my cooking. It is an animal I respect, and that is why it sits at the center of our logo. We also mapped out the key ingredients of my masala—cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, and star anise—into the artwork to give you a preview of what is in the pot.
The 'KK' emblem itself holds the soul of the brand. If you look closely, you will see the 'Old Bangalore Naati Style' etched in Devanagari, a constant reminder of the heritage I am bringing to your plate. Whether it is the Bannur Mutton Palav or the spicy Chettinad Pork, the design language is here to tell you one thing: this is honest, no-oil, high-fat, traditional food. No gimmicks, just flavour.
