Our logo isn't just a design. It is a visual tribute to the Bannur lamb, the bold local spices, and the 150-year-old family traditions that define my kitchen.

The official Karnivore Kitchen logo. It represents the ethos of my kitchen, showcasing my love for both Pork and Bannur lamb in a simple, earthy design.

About About Karnivore Kitchen

The design came together when I connected with an artist who understands my obsession with heritage meat. We wanted a visual that tells the truth: the Bannur ram, the earthy spices, and the 'KK' motif filled with the history of Old Bangalore. It is simple, rooted in the land, and unapologetically meaty, just like every dish that leaves my kitchen.

When I started Karnivore Kitchen, I needed an identity that felt as real as the food I cook. I did not want something polished or corporate. I wanted something that spoke to the 150-year-old lineage of my family, migrating from Andhra and settling in Cubbonpete, blending the cultures of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra.

I sat down with Achintya Venkatesh, a regular patron and an artist who gets the 'Karnivore' ethos. We had a simple brief: the brand must celebrate the Bannur lamb and the pork that I love.

The Visual Story

  • The Bannur Ram: This isn't just a sheep. The Bannur breed is the hero of my menu because of its fat content and flavour. The illustration captures the essence of the animal that makes my 'zero oil' cooking possible.
  • The Spices: Look closely at the artwork, and you will see the peppers, cinnamon, and star anise that I grind at home. These are the ingredients that create the authentic Naati flavours I grew up eating.
  • The KK Motif: We filled the letters with Devanagari script to honour the old-school Bangalore roots. It is a nod to where we come from.

This logo represents my refusal to compromise on quality. Whether it is a Bannur mutton fry or a Chettinad pork belly, the food is honest, fatty, and full of flavour. The brand is simply a mirror of that philosophy. May the Pork be with you.
