Outdoor spaces are not an afterthought. Whether you need a private terrace escape or a rooftop deck, I build extensions of your home that actually make you want to step outside.

This terrace for Project 22 Days features modular outdoor furniture that can be reconfigured for any occasion. Set against the backdrop of the spiritual valley, it’s a flexible and meditative space designed for ultimate relaxation.

The master bedroom of Project 22 Days opens directly onto this inviting terrace. The use of artificial turf and plants ensures low maintenance while providing a lush, green escape with a stunning view.

Waking up to this view is a luxury in itself. This shot from the master bedroom of Project 22 Days shows the seamless transition from a cozy indoor space to an expansive outdoor lounge area.

This is the Agra Fort Project terrace at night. The backlit Vondom furniture creates a soft, ambient glow, transforming the space into a cozy and futuristic lounge perfect for enjoying the evening air.

A closer look at the terrace from the Agra Fort Project. The clean lines of the modern outdoor furniture contrast beautifully with the soft texture of the artificial grass and the rugged landscape in the distance.

The master bedroom terrace from the Red Fort Project, designed as a true extension of the living space. Complete with a hanging swing chair and comfortable seating, it’s a private retreat with an open, airy feel.

This master bedroom in the Red Fort Project was designed around its connection to the outdoors. Large folding doors open up to a spacious deck, merging the tranquil interior with the fresh air and view outside.

Even a compact city apartment can have a powerful connection to the outdoors. The den in the Party Pad project opens onto a balcony with an incredible sea view, making the space feel larger and more dynamic.

The living area of the Party Pad project is all about the view. Floor-to-ceiling windows slide open to a balcony overlooking the Mumbai coastline, bringing the energy of the city and the sea right into the home.

About Rooftop Gardens & Terrace Escapes

Deciding between real grass and high-quality artificial turf usually comes down to one thing: footfall. If this is a zone for parties and evening get-togethers, real grass often turns into a maintenance headache, so I usually lean towards high-quality artificial turf. It keeps the space clean, lush, and usable year-round, regardless of the weather. It is a small detail, but it fundamentally changes how you actually use the space.

I design terraces that function as real rooms, not just places to put a plastic chair. When I approach an outdoor project, I look at structural load-bearing capacities, waterproofing, and electrical automation first. If you want a rooftop pool or a jacuzzi, we need to get the engineering right before we even talk about aesthetics.

My approach to outdoor living focuses on three pillars:

  1. Functional Zoning: We break the terrace into specific zones—a lounge area for sundowners, a hardscaped dining spot, and perhaps a private corner with a swing. This makes even a compact balcony feel like it has purpose.

  2. Materiality: I use materials that handle the city climate. Whether it's weather-treated wood, micro-toppings, or high-end outdoor furniture from brands like Vondom, the goal is to have surfaces that age well and don't need constant replacing.

  3. Lighting & Atmosphere: Lighting transforms a space at night. I use floor washers and hidden accent lights to create depth, so your terrace feels like a private lounge once the sun goes down, not just a dark patch of concrete.

If you are tired of a standard balcony that just collects dust, let's look at the plan and figure out how to make it your favorite part of the house.

I’m Karan. I don't build spaces for show—I build them so you can actually live in them. If you want a terrace that feels like a private resort in the sky, we’ll get along just fine.
