Wildlife Photography Safari & Field Mentorship

You won't find me in a classroom teaching theory. When you join my safari, we’re out in the Gypsy at first light, working on real-time vehicle positioning for eye-level shots and nailing exposure in harsh conditions. We focus on reading animal behavior, like spotting a tail flick before the action starts, so you’re ready to press the shutter the moment the story unfolds.

Photography is a chat with the jungle, not a race to get the most images. My mentorship model is built on this philosophy. Whether we are in the dense forests of Bandhavgarh or the wide-open plains of the Masai Mara, the goal is the same: move beyond documenting and start creating art.

The Field Approach

We don't rely on 'Auto' mode. My tours focus on the technicals that make or break a shot in the wild. We spend time mastering back-button focus, exposure compensation, and the nuance of side-lighting to add depth to your frames. You will learn to work with the elements, not against them. Harsh midday sun? We use it for high-key art. Overcast morning? We focus on mood and texture.

What You Will Learn

• Action Anticipation: Learning to read the jungle before the camera is even raised.
• Painterly Techniques: We practice Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) and slow-shutter panning to move away from standard wildlife portraits.
• Darkroom Workflow: Evening sessions where we sit down to discuss the 'digital darkroom'—culling, processing, and how I treat my B&W images for maximum impact.

I offer both group expeditions and private 1-on-1 mentorship. My group trips are capped at 4 photographers per vehicle, ensuring you get the space and focus you need.
