Step into the field with me. From sunrise gate entries to tracking big cats, these expeditions are immersive, hands-on photography lessons designed to help you capture the true story of the jungle.

A short video journey through the vast, dry grasslands of Taal Chhapar. This gives you a sense of the scale and unique beauty of the landscapes we explore on my tours.

A personal video from a foggy morning at the gates of Taal Chhapar. You can hear the tree pie calling as we wait to enter. This is the real experience, the anticipation before the safari begins.

A fellow traveler on one of my tours, sharing his excitement for the day ahead, even in the dense fog. My expeditions are small, friendly groups of passionate photographers.

As I often say, "subah-subah jungle gate pe khade ho jaate hain." Here I am, explaining our early start and what animals we hope to see, from blackbucks to desert foxes. This is the educational part of the journey.

Another participant on the tour talks about waiting for the fog to lift. Every day in the wild is different, and we adapt to the conditions to make the most of our time.

This video starts with a shot of me with my camera, then cuts to the incredible tiger footage that resulted from that moment. It connects the process of photography with the final, stunning result.

A drone shot showing my setup at Sambhar Lake. It highlights the lengths we go to for the perfect shot and the incredible, otherworldly landscapes we visit.

About this collection

Jaisa ki main hamesha kehta hoon, subah-subah jungle gate pe khade ho jaate hain. My expeditions are strictly limited to small groups—usually 2 to 4 photographers per gypsy—so you never have to fight for a shooting angle. Whether we are in the dense forests of Tadoba or the misty grasslands of Taal Chhapar, I am right there with you, helping you anticipate animal behavior rather than just reacting to it.

Every safari is about the story, not just the checklist. I don’t believe in chasing sightings; I believe in understanding the environment. During these expeditions, I focus on the technical 'how'—how to read alarm calls, how to manage your ISO in the deep shade of Kanha, and how to spot a leopard hidden in the foliage before anyone else does.

We use the golden hours to our advantage, waiting for the light to hit the mist or the dust, turning a simple sighting into an evocative portrait. I teach you how to handle flagship cameras like the Sony A1 or Nikon Z9 in challenging conditions, and we spend time in the evenings reviewing our shots to refine our workflow for the next morning. My goal is to teach you to see with a photographer’s eye, ensuring you leave with images that reflect the raw beauty of the places we visit.

I’m Girish. The jungle is my studio, and I spend most of my year living in parks or tracking birds in wetlands. I don’t just show you where to point your camera; I teach you how to see the shot before it happens.
