Behind the Scenes: The Heart of Justbe
Explore the journey of India’s first whole-food, plant-based kitchen. Meet the family, the team, and the community that turns this heritage space into a home.
My son often reminds me of my journey, from a housewife who loved rasgullas to a psychologist and now a restaurateur. He says that even though he eats out every day at Justbe, it always feels like "ghar ka khana," and that is my greatest achievement.
My son and I share a beautiful camaraderie, balancing heart and mind to run this place. He came back from the US and joined me on this journey, and I believe our work here is a service, creating a small cocoon of a compassionate world.
I often say I only go home to sleep, because Justbe has become my real home. This is because of the incredible people who work with me, who have become a part of my soul's journey and walk this path with me and my family.
I am filled with immense pride to see my son, Devansh, honored with the 30 under 30 award for his work in growing Justbe. This award truly belongs to the entire vegan community for being so conscious and compassionate.
We have had the pleasure of hosting many celebrities and notable personalities, like actor Yash, since we opened in 2017. We are so grateful for their love and support, which inspires our dedication to serving conscious, healthy food.
It's always a joy to welcome artists and creators to our space. We were thrilled to host the team behind a new film, sharing our conscious cuisine and warm hospitality with them.
We were so happy to have singer and actor Shoaib Ibrahim dine with us. It is an honor when celebrities choose Justbe, not just as a destination, but as a part of their journey towards a healthier lifestyle.
Our space has become a gathering spot for so many wonderful people. We are grateful for every visit and the joy that our amazing guests bring to our space, creating a vibrant and supportive community.
Thank you to our wonderful friend and vegan advocate, Vasu, for his dedication to making the world a better place. His love and support inspire us to continue serving consciously crafted, deliciously healthy food to our community.
About The Heart of Justbe: Our Story & Community
People often ask how a heritage house in Sadashiva Nagar became a hub for plant-based living. The secret is not just in the recipes, it is in the camaraderie between us and the community that walks through these doors every day. It feels less like running a restaurant and more like inviting friends into our living room, where every plate of food is served with the same intention of nourishment we would offer our own family.
Justbe started as a quiet response to a call from the universe, a way to show that vegan food is not just ghaas-phoos, but a heritage of flavor and healing. What began in a family kitchen has grown into a space where we serve plant-based, oil-free, and sugar-free food that actually loves you back.
We have built this not as a commercial space, but as a sanctuary. When you visit, you are not just a customer, you become part of the Justbe family. Whether it is celebrating milestones with our team or sharing quiet moments with artists and creators in our private dining nook, every day is a reflection of our collective mission to make conscious living accessible.
We prioritize connection above all. Our team handles everything from personalized catering to hosting sound healing sessions, ensuring that your time here feels like a pause from the city rush. This cluster is our way of sharing the faces and the stories behind the plates. Come in for a meal, stay for the warmth, and see why we believe that when you eat right, you feel right.
