these are not just hand gestures. mudras are precise tools for directing prana and stabilizing the mind. i use these seals to cut through mental noise and deepen your practice, from basic concentration to emotional release.

This is Kali Mudra, a fierce gesture that channels the transformative energy of the goddess Kali. It is used to invoke inner strength, cut through illusion, and stimulate the Manipura (solar plexus) chakra, the seat of your personal power.

An explanation of Surabhi Mudra, also known as Kamadhenu Mudra. This complex gesture is believed to help manifest desires by balancing the elemental energies within the body and enhancing creative thinking.

This is Abhaya Hridaya Mudra, the fearless heart seal. It is a double-handed gesture used for protection, revitalizing the energy around the Anahata (heart) chakra, and cultivating a sense of profound peace and vitality.

many people come to me looking for a quick fix, but mudras require the same consistency as your asana practice. when you sit for shanmukhi or kaleshwara mudra, the goal is not to feel an immediate rush, but to train your nervous system to withdraw from sensory distraction. if you are ready to stop watching videos and start holding space for your own discipline, we can begin.

mudras are subtle science. they are circuits in the body designed to seal energy—prana—within your system rather than letting it leak out through your fingers and eyes. in my sessions in bengaluru, i do not teach these as cosmetic hand poses. they are an essential part of the ashtanga ladder, often neglected in modern, sweat-focused classes.

we use techniques like kaleshwara mudra to rewire habit loops, shifting the mind from compulsive reaction to observation. for those struggling with the frantic energy of city life, abhaya hridaya mudra helps revitalize the heart space, moving you away from anxiety and toward stability.

my approach is simple: we start with the physical body—sukshma vyayama for joint mobility—before we ever touch a mudra. if you treat these as just another hack, you will get nothing. if you approach them with the same intensity you bring to backbends, you will find they are the most effective tool for managing your own headspace. whether you are in my small group batches or a private 1-on-1 session at your terrace, the requirement is the same: silence, stillness, and a willingness to look at the mess inside.
