About Laser-Cut & Intricate Formats
Laser-cut cards look delicate, but it is all about the cardstock quality. I use high-density, flexible paper for these intricate patterns to ensure the edges stay clean without tearing. Since I manufacture these myself in my Dadar workshop, I control the precision of every cut, which means you get sharp details instead of burnt or frayed edges.
Understanding Laser-Cut Invitations
Laser-cutting is about precision. When you look at the designs in this gallery, you are seeing a mix of architectural lattice work and delicate floral patterns. Because I cut these directly from the cardstock, there is no printed ink boundary, just the physical shape of the paper itself.
Why the Paper Matters
Not all paper handles a laser beam well. I use 200-250 GSM shimmer and metallic stocks for these designs. This specific thickness provides the rigidity needed for the pattern to hold its shape during shipping, while remaining flexible enough that the card feels premium in hand. If you choose an intricate pattern, I ensure the connecting points are thick enough that they do not snap during the mailing process.
Direct Manufacturing Advantage
I operate my own equipment in Dadar. This changes the pricing and the speed. You are not paying for a third-party laser service or a middleman. When you look at the card codes, you are seeing the direct factory price. I can also adjust the laser intensity for different paper types, ensuring that the 'burn' (the dark edge you sometimes see on laser-cut paper) is minimized or eliminated entirely.
Shipping and Handling
Since I ship worldwide, I pack these cards to survive transit. The laser-cut pieces are interleaved with protective sheets before being boxed. If you have a specific pattern in mind—like a customized monogram or a specific architectural motif—send me the code and we can discuss the feasibility of cutting it into your preferred paper stock.
