About Durable & Anti-Tarnish Collection
Most of these pieces are built on a durable brass base rather than cheap alloy, coated with high-quality 18k gold plating. You can wear them during your office commute or even a gym session without worrying about them turning black or causing skin irritation. I wear these myself every single day, and they really do hold up.
Why I built this collection
Honestly, I was tired of jewellery that looked pretty for a day and then turned black the moment it touched sweat. Miraya started because I wanted pieces that look like luxury but act like daily wear. When I source for this anti-tarnish collection, I look for a few things that actually matter.
The technical bits (made simple)
- Brass Base: Unlike cheaper fashion jewellery that uses basic alloys, my gold-plated pieces use a brass base. It is sturdier, feels better on the skin, and resists bending.
- 18k Gold Plating: I use a higher micron plating than standard fashion jewellery. This is what gives it that waterproof, anti-tarnish edge. It is not permanent gold, but with the right care, it will stay shiny for months of daily use.
- Skin-Safe: Everything here is tested for sensitive skin. If you usually get an itchy reaction to artificial jewellery, these pieces are your safest bet.
How to keep them shining
Even though these are durable, they aren't magic. To make them last:
- Keep them dry: Even waterproof pieces last longer if you wipe off sweat or perfume after a long day.
