When I shoot Haldi and Mehendi, I look for the honest stuff, like the way the turmeric stains your clothes or the look on your face during the henna application. You get every single raw file from these events immediately, so you have your memories the moment the day is done.
Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies are different from the main wedding day. There is less formality and significantly more energy. My approach is to move around the crowd, capturing the dance offs, the jokes with cousins, and the small details like jewelry and intricate henna patterns. I do not set up fancy poses during these rituals because the best moments are the ones you do not plan.
I use portable LED lights for evening events and keep my camera settings ready for quick movement to ensure clear shots in low light. Whether you are hosting a small ceremony in Delhi NCR or planning a destination wedding, I bring the same kit and attention to detail.
