I prioritize load-bearing integrity in every pergola build. By utilizing 1.5mm to 2mm gauge MS steel sections, I create a framework capable of supporting heavy Mangalore tiles without warping, which is then sealed with exterior-grade silicone to ensure total weatherproofing against Bengaluru's monsoon seasons.

A pergola needs to be more than just a visual addition to your property. It must withstand structural stress and local weather conditions. My process begins with a free 3D design consultation where we map out the grid and column placement. This ensures the structure aligns with your home's existing architecture before any steel is cut.
Material Choices
- Mangalore Tile Pergolas: These provide excellent heat insulation and a traditional aesthetic. I use heavy-duty MS tubular grids to support the weight of these tiles, ensuring every joint is precision-welded.
- Polycarbonate & Glass: For spaces requiring natural light, I install 4mm to 6mm UV-protected multiwall polycarbonate sheets. These are secured using self-drilling screws with EPDM rubber washers to prevent thermal expansion leaks.
Fabrication & Protection
I do not rely on standard factory sizes. Every piece is cut, welded, and ground to size on-site. To combat corrosion in Karnataka’s humid climate, every steel frame undergoes a mandatory two-step treatment: a high-quality red oxide primer coating followed by two layers of synthetic enamel paint. This prevents rust at the joints and extends the lifespan of the structure significantly.
