About Cooking in Our Home Kitchen
Our vatha kuzhambu demonstration shows the pot, the cooked curry and the finished rice plate. Other kitchen sequences show potato fry, chutney, biryani and sweets.
From stove to plate
The cooking shown here includes kara chutney, poori, jam dosai, chammanthi and mutton donne biryani. Sweet preparations include carrot halwa and peanut ladoo. Soya urundai, ratha poriyal and idly meen kuzhambu also appear in our demonstrations.
Some recipe edits include television scenes and dialogue. The cooking is shown alongside those clips; the television speakers are not the people running our kitchen.
The person behind the food
Indra Saran runs our home-based kitchen. She describes herself as a mother, homemaker, entrepreneur and home chef. Cooking grew into this business, with customer encouragement and repeat orders supporting the journey.
