Hand-Painted Cultural and Patriotic Art
From traditional Rajasthani Mandana floor art to soulful patriotic sketches, I bring a piece of India’s heart into your space with every stroke.
This image shows the process of creating a Mandana, a traditional floor painting from Rajasthan. Here, I am drawing the central motif of Goddess Lakshmi's footprints, a symbol of prosperity, using a cloth dipped in white paste.
The Mandana design is almost complete, with geometric borders and floral patterns surrounding the central square. A single diya is lit, giving a first hint of the beautiful glow to come.
The finished Mandana seen under colorful disco lights, adding a modern, festive twist to the traditional artwork. The white lines of the design stand out sharply against the earthy red base.
The traditional floor art is fully illuminated by multiple diyas, creating a warm and sacred ambiance. This is the final look, perfect for welcoming light and blessings during Diwali.
A different angle of my India map painting, showing the texture of the watercolor paper and the depth of the colors. The tricolor theme flows through different scenes, representing the unity and diversity of India.
This is a custom portrait sketch I did of a man in a traditional Rajasthani turban. Through detailed pencil work and shading, I aim to capture not just his likeness but also the character and warmth in his smile.
About Cultural & Patriotic Paintings
When I paint a Mandana, I stick to the traditional white paste technique rather than just using acrylics, so you get that authentic, earthy texture that feels like home. It is messy, it is real, and it is how the art is meant to be done, creating a look that stands out against modern floors.
I believe that culture is in the details. My Mandana work is inspired by the geometric beauty of Rajasthani homes, and I make sure every motif, from the footprints of Lakshmi to the floral borders, holds that traditional significance. I use white paste because it creates a raised, tactile effect that you just cannot get with flat paint.
For my patriotic art, like the map series, I prefer mixing watercolors or gouache. This lets me blend the colors in a way that feels organic and fluid, representing the unity and diversity of our country. I don't just fill in a shape; I layer the colors to give the art depth.
When it comes to my sketches, specifically the portraits, my focus is entirely on the character. If I am drawing a man in a Rajasthani turban, I spend time on the shading of the fabric folds and the warmth in the smile, rather than just getting the features right. Each project is custom, so whether you want a specific festival design or a piece that honors your heritage, let's talk about the story you want to tell. Everything is handmade, packaged with care, and shipped directly to you.
