Shooting by a waterfall or lake is not just about the scenic view, it is about the effort. We have to plan for slippery rocks and changing light conditions, so I always recommend bringing comfortable footwear and outfits that you do not mind getting a little damp. That willingness to step away from formal poses makes all the difference in getting those real, candid moments where you are just focused on each other.
There is a specific kind of honesty that comes out when you are surrounded by water. When I am behind the camera, I look for the way the environment reflects your mood. A calm lake often leads to quiet, intimate portraits where we focus on whispers and gentle touches. A roaring waterfall, on the other hand, brings out a dynamic, high-energy side of a relationship that is hard to fake.
My approach to these retreats is about handling the technical side so you can focus on the feeling. I bring a portable studio lighting setup to manage harsh sunlight or deep shadows near rocky terrains. If you choose the cinematic bundle, my team and I use gimbals and drones to capture the vast scale of these landscapes, making your pre-wedding film feel like a piece of cinema.
We start in Delhi NCR, but these stories often take us across India. From the lakes of Rajasthan to hidden spots in the hills, I am happy to travel wherever your story fits best.
