About Bridal Portraits
When I shoot bridal portraits, I prioritize comfort over stiff posing. Whether it is a mirror reflection to capture depth or a quiet candid shot while you are getting ready, I look for the small details—like your henna patterns or the weight of your jewelry—that make you feel like yourself. If you are camera-shy, I will guide you through the process so you look natural, not staged.
My approach to bridal photography is rooted in storytelling. A wedding is not just about the final ceremony; it is a collection of small, fleeting moments that define your experience. I focus heavily on the 'getting ready' phase, where the atmosphere is intimate and the emotions are raw.
Why focus on the portraits?
Many couples feel pressured to stand still and smile for the camera for hours. My process is different. I prefer to let the day flow naturally. I might suggest a simple interaction or a spot with great window light, but the expressions and movements remain yours. This results in photos that show your real personality.
My technical approach
I use a mix of candid and guided portraits. We will get those classic, sharp shots of your outfit and jewelry, but I will also capture the candid moments when you are laughing with your bridesmaids or taking a deep breath before the Pheras. I am comfortable working in various lighting conditions, from the soft natural light of a bridal suite to the dramatic settings of a hotel banquet hall in Mumbai.
Planning for your shoot
If you have a specific bridal look in mind—perhaps a traditional Maharashtrian style or a minimal modern aesthetic—let me know. I am experienced in capturing the fine details that you have spent months preparing, ensuring that the embroidery on your lehenga and the sparkle of your nath are highlighted perfectly. We will discuss your preferences before the day starts so we are on the same page.
