I often use natural light during the golden hour for pre-wedding portraits and keep my gear portable for quick setups. If you feel camera-shy, I provide active direction to help you relax, ensuring we capture natural expressions rather than stiff poses.
My approach is about documenting the day as it happens, not just posing you for hours. When shooting weddings in Mumbai, I use a dual-lens strategy. I handle the candid work, capturing portraits, rituals, and those fleeting unposed emotions, while my senior associate covers the traditional stage groups and formal family portraits. This ensures you get a complete set of high-resolution images, from the wide shots of the Baraat to the small details like your jewelry or henna patterns.
For pre-wedding shoots, I use the Sony A7C, which allows for a more relaxed, mobile workflow. We can shoot at locations like Yeoor Hills or outdoor sets in the city. I include 3 costume changes in these sessions to give you variety, along with a 45-60 second vertical reel optimized for social media. If you are worried about sound during the ceremony, I use lapel microphones during Pheras to capture clear vows and mantras for the cinematic films. Whether it is an intimate bridal portrait or a high-energy reception, my goal is to provide a mix of artistic, color-graded edits and reliable, chronological documentation.
