Traditional Groom Portraits for Wedding Days
The groom's look deserves a moment in the spotlight. I focus on capturing your confidence, the rich textures of your traditional attire, and the quiet, anticipation-filled moments before the ceremony begins.

About Portraits of the Groom
Getting the groom portraits right is about balance. You should not have to spend hours posing uncomfortably while your guests wait. My approach is to find 15-minute windows for directed, sharp portraits before the chaos of the baraat starts, ensuring we capture the details of your pheta and sherwani without disrupting your ceremony timeline.
While the focus on wedding days often shifts to the bride, I make it a point to dedicate time to the groom. These portraits are about showing your style, whether you are wearing a traditional Maharashtrian pheta or a modern sherwani.
The Technical Approach
I use high-end equipment like the 85mm f/1.4 prime lens specifically for these portraits. This lens creates that beautiful, soft background blur that keeps all the attention on you. It allows me to shoot from a slight distance so you can relax, move naturally, and not feel like the camera is in your face.
Capturing Tradition
In Maharashtrian weddings, the details matter. From the layers of your pearl necklace to the way your pheta is tied, these elements tell a story of tradition. I look for the light that hits these textures best. If we are shooting outdoors in the morning light or inside a venue, I adjust the angle to highlight the craftsmanship of your attire.
A Quick Note on Posing
Most grooms tell me they are not models. That is fine. I do not ask for stiff, mannequin-like poses. I prefer to guide you into positions that feel natural, focusing on your expressions, the anticipation of the moment, or simply how you look as you prepare for the day. My goal is for you to look back at these photos and see yourself, just at your best.
