About Intricate Full Hand Designs
When you go for full-hand coverage, the secret to that deep, gorgeous stain is in the henna paste and the aftercare. I only use fresh, chemical-free henna for my clients, and I always share my best tips to make sure your rang comes out dark and rich, whether it is for a wedding or a simple celebration.
I specialize in the 'Bharwa' style, which is perfect if you love that traditional, rich look where every inch of the skin is adorned. This style relies on high-density patterns—think thick paisleys, delicate netting (jaal), and intricate floral clusters that flow from your fingertips down to your wrist.
The Process
For these full-hand designs, I focus on building layers. We start with the bold outlines to define the structure and then add the shading and fine detail work that gives the design depth. Because this is detailed work, it usually takes between 25 to 40 minutes per hand. I love working closely with you to decide if you want the classic Bharwa look or a mix of modern elements like crescent moons or custom initials hidden in the pattern.
Getting That Deep Stain
I know the 'rang' is the most important part for my clients. While the stain depends on your skin type, body temperature, and how you care for your hands after application, I provide a guide on how to keep your hands warm and avoid water immediately after. It is a joy to see my clients text me photos of the deep color a day or two later.
