A Look Back at My 2021 Crochet Journey

Looking back at 2021 is a reminder of how much my little studio has grown. This collection shows the wide range of custom projects I took on that year, from simpler animal patterns to the complex character dolls and pet replicas that keep me busy today.

2021 was a turning point for me. It was the year I really started to focus on the magic of custom orders. Before this, I mostly stuck to standard patterns, but my lovely clients started asking for things that were personal to them. That request for a specific anime character or a plushie that looked like a pet forced me to level up my techniques.

How My Craft Evolved

I spent that year experimenting with different yarn textures, like the shift from crisp cotton to soft, huggable chenille for my plushies. You will see some of those early experiments in this cluster, including some of my first attempts at detailed character embroidery.

My Process Today

Everything I learned in 2021 informs how I work now. Whether it is a tiny keychain or a 12-inch custom doll, I still follow the same rules:

• Precision: I use invisible joinery so the stitches are clean and sturdy.
• Quality: I stick to hypoallergenic poly fiber fill to make sure my toys are safe and hold their shape.
• Personality: I don't just copy a photo. I try to capture the 'soul' of the pet or the specific expression of a character.
