About My Handmade Journey
Every custom doll I make involves a slow, quiet process that takes hours of careful stitching. When you order a look-alike doll, I don't just use a generic pattern. I focus on the little things, like the drape of a saree, the specific hairstyle, or the expression, using a mix of yarn and real fabric to get the look just right.
Back in 2016, my first attempt at a crochet doll was a little wonky. It wasn't perfect, but it was the start of something that eventually became a passion. Since then, I have spent years refining the Amigurumi technique, learning how to build shapes, manage tension, and add the fine details that bring a figure to life.
My work today is a mix of yarn and personal storytelling. Whether I am crafting a look-alike portrait doll for a special gift or a spiritual figure for a prayer space, the process remains the same. I work from my home in Mumbai, taking the time to ensure every stitch is secure and every accessory is placed with care.
Why Custom Matters
I believe the best gifts have a personal touch. That is why I specialize in look-alike crochet dolls. If you want a doll that captures a friend's personality, a couple set for an anniversary, or a miniature version of a pet like a dog or cat, I work with you to match the outfit, hair color, and even signature accessories. I also use wire armatures in my larger dolls to make them poseable, adding to their personality.
From the small keychains that fit in your palm to the larger 11-inch portrait dolls, everything is made-to-order. It is not about mass production. It is about patience, the Mumbai chaos around me, and the joy of sending a handmade piece to someone who will cherish it.
