Working with mantra frames requires precision, especially when placing delicate gold acrylic lettering onto the wet resin base. During our sessions, I teach you how to achieve that perfect, bubble-free finish and how to embed crystals or geode stones for a textured, 3D border effect that makes your mantra truly stand out.
Creating a resin mantra frame is a meditative process. Whether you want to craft a Navkar Mantra, Ik Onkar, or other sacred text, the technique involves careful planning. We use high-quality 5mm MDF boards as a base, which provides the stability needed for large-format wall art, often reaching up to 2 by 3 feet.
The real craft lies in the layering. First, we prepare the resin mix for the background, focusing on marble or pearl-finish effects to create a serene backdrop. The crucial step is the lettering. We use premium gold or rose gold mirror-finish acrylic cutouts. Placing these accurately without trapping air bubbles or causing the resin to overflow the letters is where the true skill develops. I show you how to handle the resin viscosity so the letters sit perfectly flush.
For the borders, we often add crushed fire glass and geode stones to build a 3D effect. It transforms a simple wall piece into a striking focal point for your puja room or living area. If you are joining my workshop, you do not need prior experience. I provide all the tools, from high-grade epoxy to the specialized heat guns needed for bubble removal.
