Bridal and Event Hairstyling Portfolio
A selection of my work ranging from traditional South Indian braids to modern reception waves, showcasing my approach to structural styling and long-lasting hair design.
This is my signature South Indian bridal hairstyle. I created a traditional thick braid and meticulously adorned it with fragrant jasmine and vibrant red flowers, crafting a classic and timeless look for the main wedding ceremony.
For this bridal bun, I wove intricate patterns using golden thread to create a unique basket-weave effect. The look was finished with fresh pink carnations and baby's breath, adding a touch of softness to the structured updo.
I designed this glamorous look for a reception party, featuring voluminous, soft curls and a sleek, high ponytail. This style is perfect for a modern bride who wants a chic and comfortable hairstyle for a long evening of celebrations.
This is an example of a highly detailed and traditional bridal braid. I incorporated an elaborate gold 'jada' hair accessory that cascades down the length of the braid, creating a truly regal and unforgettable look for the wedding day.
For a fun Mehendi look, I styled the hair in a half-updo with cascading curls. I added playful elements like small braids, colorful floral clips, and bright green feathers to match the vibrant and festive theme of the event.
I crafted this elegant and clean bridal bun, perfect for a sophisticated wedding look. The updo is accented with fresh white roses and delicate baby's breath, providing a classic touch that complements the bride's intricate jewelry.
This textured updo was created for an international bride, showcasing how I adapt my techniques for different hair types, including blonde hair. The style features interwoven sections and a soft, romantic finish suitable for a wedding ceremony or reception.
About this collection
Most brides worry about their dupatta slipping or their curls going flat by dinner. When I style your hair, I use synthetic padding and specific anchoring techniques to ensure your bun stays secure under heavy jewelry for the entire ceremony. Whether we do a traditional South Indian braid or a modern updo, the goal is for you to be able to dance and move without needing a touch-up.
My Approach to Bridal Hair
I treat every hairstyle as a technical structure that must hold up under pressure. Whether I am crafting a complex South Indian braid or a modern, voluminous updo, I start by analyzing your hair texture and performing a full-head crimp for grip. This process is essential for creating a foundation that supports heavy accessories like Matha Pattis, Jhoomars, or fresh flowers.
Durability and Style
My work is designed for the reality of long wedding ceremonies and receptions. Here is what you can expect:
- Heavy Dupatta Anchoring: I use secure padding to ensure that heavy bridal dupattas do not pull on your hair or cause discomfort.
- Humidity Resistance: For reception looks, I use anti-humidity sprays to keep curls and waves defined, even on crowded dance floors.
- Collaboration: I work closely with your makeup artist. I ensure your hairstyle balances your jewelry and makeup so the final look is cohesive.
Styling Options
- Traditional: I specialize in authentic styles using real flowers, which I arrange securely to last throughout the day.
- Modern & Glamorous: I create Hollywood waves and sleek ponytails using extension blending to add volume where needed.
- Bohemian: For Mehendi and Haldi events, I use creative elements like threads and feathers for a fun, festive look.
