The secret to a thick, full-braid look isn't just natural hair length; it’s about the structure beneath. I use professional root crimping and high-quality Savaram (hair extensions) to build a solid foundation. This is critical for supporting the weight of traditional temple jewellery and fresh flowers, ensuring your hairstyle remains secure and comfortable from the start of your ceremony to the final photo.
While traditional South Indian bridal styles often lean on heavy, sleek braids, I love working on a modern, textured approach. By incorporating elements like fishtail plaiting, looser pulls, and contemporary accessories, we can create a look that feels more relaxed without losing the grandeur of a wedding hairstyle.
My Approach to Texture
For engagements and mehendi functions, I prefer a more airy, romantic aesthetic. I achieve this by working with textured hair—using specialized heat-styling techniques to add volume before the braiding begins. This allows us to integrate elements like baby's breath, pearls, or modern floral arrangements that might otherwise get lost in a tightly pulled, traditional braid.
Balancing Tradition and Comfort
I understand that Bengaluru weddings often involve long hours in the spotlight. Whether we are preparing for a morning muhurtham or an evening reception, my focus is on longevity. I use humidity-resistant sprays and secure pinning techniques to ensure that even complex styles, like an Elsa-inspired braid or a loose, messy bun, don't drop or loosen as the day progresses.

Your hairstyle is only one part of the final look. I often work alongside your makeup artist to ensure the hair placement complements your jewellery and saree drape. If you are opting for a classic look with Jada Billai or a more contemporary style with minimal gold clips, I help coordinate the placement so every accessory sits perfectly.
