Finding the right balance between a heavy traditional braid and your saree drape takes time, which is why I combine both services in one booking. I ensure the extensions are securely pinned to handle your temple jewellery weight and the saree pleats are sharp enough to last through the ceremonies without constant adjustments.
When you are getting ready for a Muhurtham, the last thing you need is two different vendors trying to coordinate. By managing both your hairstyling and saree draping, I make sure the look feels cohesive. Whether you are wearing a heavy Kanjeevaram or a lighter silk, the drape needs to complement the volume of your hair.
My Styling Process
I start by prepping the hair with root crimping to create a solid base. This provides the necessary grip for your temple jewellery, including the Rakodi and Kunjalam, so nothing slips even after hours of rituals. For the braid, I use high-quality Savaram (hair extensions) to achieve that thick, traditional floor-length look.
Saree Draping Details
Your saree drape is just as important as the hair. I focus on making the pleats neat and secure, ensuring they sit perfectly with your waist belt (vaddanam). Whether you need a traditional drape for the ceremony or something slightly more modern for the reception, I customize the pinning and folding to suit your movement and comfort. I always keep humidity-resistant spray handy in Bangalore's weather to make sure your hair holds its shape while you dance.
