About Festivals & Cultural Events
When I shoot festivals like Holi or Eid, I’m not just hovering from a distance. I’m physically navigating my FPV drone through narrow temple lanes or above crowded courtyards to get those heart-racing, immersive shots. If you have a specific cultural event in mind, we need to discuss access, crowd safety, and restricted flight zones at least a week before—getting the perfect shot means working within these realities.
Why FPV for Festivals?
Traditional drone photography often feels detached. When you look at my festival work, you’ll notice the difference. I’m not just showing you the crowd; I’m flying into the rhythm of the event. Whether it’s the intense, colorful chaos of Braj Holi or the peaceful, expansive unity during Eid prayers at Jama Masjid, my FPV drones allow me to chase the motion.
My Approach to Cultural Shoots
Festivals are unpredictable. People are moving, colors are flying, and the energy shifts every second. I don’t treat these as passive observation sessions. I treat them as a dance.
- Safety First: Crowds and drones can be a risky mix. I use specialized gear, often shielded CineWhoop drones, when filming in tight proximity to people to ensure everyone stays safe.
- Planning: I scout locations for recce, understand the flow of the crowd, and plan flight paths that get the intensity without causing a disturbance.
- Storytelling: It isn't just about the spectacle. It’s about the emotion. I look for the individual stories—the smile, the color splash, the focused prayer—that make a massive event feel human and intimate.
