About Romantic Room & Canopy Decorations
I use high-quality masking tape for balloon ceilings that won't peel off your paint, making cleanup much easier. If you are going for the canopy setup, please make sure you have an accessible power socket nearby so I can plug in the fairy lights. My setup process for a standard bedroom transformation is usually under an hour, so you can easily pull this off while your partner is out.
How My Romantic Decor Works
I offer two main ways to turn a regular room into a special space: bedroom makeovers and canopy structures.
Bedroom Balloon Makeovers This is my most popular choice for quick surprises. I use about 100+ air-filled balloons to create a 'floating' ceiling effect using masking tape. I scatter another 40 to 50 balloons on the floor and bed, along with a foil letter set. If you want to go the extra mile, I can arrange fresh rose petals in a heart shape and hang your printed photos from the ribbons.
Canopy & Fairy Light Setups For a more structured look, I build a 6-foot sheer drape canopy frame using PVC or bamboo. I weave warm white LED fairy lights through the drapes and surround the base with a cluster of 150+ metallic balloons. This setup gives you a dedicated 'photo zone' or a cozy nook that stands out. This requires a 6x6 foot clear space to set up properly.
Practical Details
- Air-filled, Not Helium: All my balloons are air-filled. They don't float for weeks, but they stay looking good for the duration of your party and beyond.
- Setup Time: A standard bedroom decor takes 45 to 60 minutes. The canopy setup takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. I arrive, set up everything, and leave before your surprise happens.
- What I Need From You: Please ensure I have access to the room and a power point for the lights. If you are providing photos for the display, please send them in advance so I can get them printed and ready.
- Takedown: I don't charge for cleanup, so these are self-service removal setups. Simply pop the balloons when you are done.
