Whether you want a traditional Muhurtham braid or a modern messy bun, I make sure your hair and drape look perfect from the first ritual to the final dance.

Bridal jade goals! I love this new style of jade billes we used for Nidhi's muhurtham braid. It's a modern twist on a classic South Indian bridal hairstyle.

Just focus on the hairstyle! This gorgeous wavy bob, inspired by Samantha Ruth Prabhu, was the perfect choice for Shailiza's modern sangeet look.

Perfection is in the details, like draping the 6 yards of a Kanchivaram saree flawlessly. Here is Prerana's reception look, complete with an open hairstyle and perfect pleats.

Here's a quick tutorial on how I define my natural waves using curl cream and gel. Taking care of your hair is the first step to any beautiful hairstyle.

About Artful Hairstyling & Saree Draping

The biggest worry with heavy South Indian braids or complex buns is the weight pulling them down by the evening. I do not just style your hair; I secure it with specific padding and techniques, like my go-to Andal Kondai pinning, so you can dance, sit, and move freely without anything slipping out. When you sit for hours through a ceremony, you need to feel light and confident, not anxious about your hair.

Your wedding day look is a combination of many details, and I believe the hairstyle and saree drape are just as important as the makeup. I specialize in both traditional and modern styling, working to ensure everything stays in place.

Traditional South Indian Bridal Hair

For Muhurtham looks, I focus on heavy, secure braiding. I use hair extensions like savaram to get that thick, classic look and add fresh flowers like mallige dindu or lotus, depending on your saree. The goal is to make sure your temple jewelry stays perfectly positioned without pulling your scalp.

Modern Styles and Draping

If you prefer an open hairstyle, waves, or a messy bun for your Sangeet or reception, I use high-heat tongs and texturizing sprays to get volume that lasts. I am also very particular about saree draping. Whether it is a Kanchivaram, Mysore silk, or a lehenga, I focus on crisp pleats that do not budge even when you are sitting for long periods. If you are worried about your draping, I can do on-spot ironing and box folding to keep the fabric sharp.

Why a Trial Helps

I always suggest a trial because your hair and saree choice define your silhouette. During the trial, we can experiment until we find the balance that feels comfortable for you. Whether you have vitiligo, hooded eyes, or just specific hair concerns, I have experience working with all kinds of features. My goal is to make sure you look like the best version of yourself, not someone wearing a mask of makeup and heavy hair.
