Professional Makeup Product & Vanity Guide
Confused about foundation shades or how to spot fake products? I'm sharing my professional vanity secrets to help you invest in the right products for your kit.
You always ask for affordable foundations. Here are my top recommendations for foundations under 1500 rupees, including brands like Europe Girl and Shopaarel, that give amazing, full coverage for side makeup looks.
If you have the budget for high-end foundations, these are my all-time favourites. I'm talking about Bobbi Brown, Estée Lauder, NARS, and Huda Beauty. I'll tell you which ones give a dewy finish and which ones are full coverage.
So many DMs about Estée Lauder Double Wear shades! For Indian skin tones, I recommend Sand for fair skin, Tawny and Cashew for medium, and Honey Bronze or Bronze for darker tones. I've even swatched them for you.
Confused about which Bobbi Brown foundation shades to keep in your vanity? For fair skin, go for Sand. For medium, N052 is great. For warmer, darker tones, you can use 064 or 066.
For NARS foundations, these are the essential shades for your kit. Gobi or Stromboli for fair tones, the all-time favourite Punjab for medium, and Barcelona or Cadiz for dusky skin tones.
Primer is so important for long-lasting makeup. I'm sharing my top picks for both high-end primers like Milk and Huda Beauty, and amazing budget-friendly options like Plume and Recode that give a similar gripping effect.
Which illuminating primer should you buy? If you have the budget, NARS is a fantastic one-time investment for that evening glow. If not, don't worry! Max Touch and Revolution have great hydrating primers under 1000 rupees.
Looking for a dupe for the expensive Embryolisse moisturizer? I've got you covered. You can get a similar amazing hydration level with Bioderma, Faces Canada, or Plum moisturizers.
It's so important to spot fake products. I'll show you the difference between an original and a fake B Perfect eyeshadow palette. Look for the weight, font clarity, and the MRP sticker on the back. Don't get fooled!
I've found a great budget-friendly gel liner for you. This one from Faces Canada is intense, smooth, waterproof, and smudge-proof. It even comes with a smudger brush and a sharpener, all for an MRP of 575.
About Pro Tips & Product Gyaan
Don't just buy what’s trending on Instagram. In my academy, I teach you the 'Right Tool, Right Product, Right Price' approach. Whether it's choosing between high-end Estée Lauder foundations or finding effective budget dupes like Shopaarel, I show you how to build a professional kit that actually works on real skin. You'll learn exactly how to spot fake products so you stop wasting money and start building your career with confidence.
Building a professional vanity is not about having the most expensive brands, it is about knowing how to make your products work for every skin type and event. Many artists in Mumbai get misdirected by online fakes or influencers who do not understand technical application. At Glamfort, we focus on reality.
Why Product Knowledge Matters
If you want to be a successful artist, you need to master your kit. We teach you to distinguish between high-end investments like NARS and Bobbi Brown, and where you can safely save money with brands like Faces Canada or Recode without compromising on the finish. You will learn the difference between translucent and banana powders, how to color-match for different Indian skin tones—from the pink undertones needed for Kashmir to the warmer, brownish bases used in Chennai—and how to finally understand contour versus bronzer.
Spotting the Fakes
One of the biggest issues my students face is buying counterfeit palettes. I show you the tiny details—weight, font clarity, and missing MRP labels—that tell you if a product is the real deal. When you train with me in Matunga, you aren't just memorizing theory. You are physically testing products, swatching them on real skin, and learning why your base might be turning grey. If you are ready to stop guessing and start learning the real science of makeup artistry, let’s get your kit sorted.
Glamfort
I'm Sheetal Maru, and at Glamfort, we don't just teach makeup—we teach you how to think like a professional artist. My goal is to make sure every student who walks through my academy knows exactly what’s in their kit and why. If you're tired of being misdirected by misleading advice, let's get your skills and your vanity sorted.
