Featured Portfolio: Authentic Professional Photography in Mumbai
My approach is simple. No AI gimmicks or heavy filters, just real connections captured through the lens. This gallery showcases the range of my work, from high-energy commercial campaigns to intimate, natural portraits.
A high-energy portrait of Virat Kohli for an MRF Tyres campaign. Capturing this level of intensity for a commercial shoot requires perfect timing and a deep understanding of lighting to create a stadium-like atmosphere.
This is a clean and polished commercial headshot of actress Wamiqa Gabbi for a beauty brand collaboration. The focus here was on creating a soft, approachable look with flawless lighting to highlight the product naturally.
A quiet moment captured with Vartika Singh using only natural light and a fixed lens camera. This image is completely unedited, reflecting my belief in creating authentic, timeless black and white portraits that feel real.
An artistic and moody fashion portrait. This shot plays with shadow and form, using a large hat to create a sense of mystery and elegance, perfect for a high-fashion editorial or a model's portfolio.
It was an honour to photograph the legendary A.R. Rahman for a Rolling Stone magazine cover. This portrait was for a feature on his mentorship program, and the goal was to capture his cool, confident presence.
A vibrant look-test portrait of Ananya Panday for the film 'Gehraiyaan'. This shot demonstrates my ability to create a bright, outdoor beach feel within a studio setting, complete with professional styling and retouching.
An intimate black and white couple's portrait for a Platinum Days of Love advertising campaign. My focus was on capturing a simple, clean, and meaningful moment of connection that feels both personal and aspirational.
A quick look behind the scenes at my studio. Every shoot is a collaboration, and this shows my team and I working together to get the perfect shot, from adjusting lighting to directing the models.
About Featured
Before you reach out to book, consider the specific energy you want for your session. I work collaboratively, which means I adapt my approach based on the project requirements. If you need a high-end commercial shoot, I will bring a full lighting crew and equipment for tethered live previews. If you are looking for an intimate portrait session, I prefer to keep the environment quiet and natural to capture genuine moments. Letting me know which direction you are leaning toward helps me prepare the right gear and support team for your shoot.
My Approach to Photography
Photography is, to me, a craft built on honesty. Over the last 15 years, I have moved away from trends and towards a minimalist style that focuses on the subject. Whether I am shooting a magazine cover with a celebrity or a quiet maternity portrait at home, the goal remains the same: capturing something that feels real.
Commercial vs. Personal Work
My portfolio spans two distinct worlds. On the commercial side, I manage large-scale shoots for brands and magazines. This involves a rigorous process: moodboarding, coordinating with stylists, managing a crew, and using high-end studio lighting like Profoto. My commercial work, such as campaigns for brands like MRF or fashion editorials, is defined by clean, sharp images that deliver a specific brand message.
Conversely, my personal and portrait work takes a different path. I often use handheld cameras like the Fuji X100 or GFX system to keep the interaction intimate. In these sessions, we focus on natural light and human expression. You will often see black and white photography here, as I find it strips away distractions and forces us to look at the emotion in the frame.
The Technical Side
- Studio Headshots: I use a Medium Format GFX system for superior skin texture and detail. Every session includes tethering, so we can check the frames on a laptop as we shoot. This ensures we are getting the exact look we discussed.
- Lighting: My lighting style varies from punchy, high-contrast studio setups to soft, directional natural light. I adapt this to match the personality of the subject.
- Post-Production: For commercial projects, I work with top retouchers to ensure magazine-grade skin cleaning. For my personal portrait sessions, I prefer a 'no-edit' or light color-grading philosophy to keep the images timeless and true to life.
