Contemporary Pastel and Gold Bridal Makeup Looks

Pastel and gold bridal looks have become my favorite because they photograph beautifully, especially in natural, daytime light. When you wear these softer colors, the makeup approach has to be different. We cannot use the same heavy, matte technique we apply for deep red lehengas.

My process for these looks focuses on:

• Skin Texture: I use a lightweight, buildable base that offers full coverage but still looks like skin. This prevents the 'cakey' effect that can happen with light-colored outfits.
• Eye Makeup: I typically stick to champagne, soft rose, or subtle gold pigments on the lids. The goal is to brighten the eyes rather than define them with harsh, black charcoal.
• The Glow: Since the colors are muted, I add a touch of highlighter to the cheekbones to give you that bridal radiance without looking greasy. It creates a soft, romantic finish that feels fresh.
