This video reel captures the full scope of my work on the IKEA Bengaluru project. I begin by establishing the building's impressive architectural presence before moving inside to explore the diverse environments within. My goal was to create a visual journey that showcases the brand's vibrant atmosphere, the functional design of its office spaces, and the inviting feel of its showrooms.
Here, I focused on capturing the different functional zones that make a modern workspace thrive. This video highlights my ability to convey the specific mood of each area, from the quiet focus of a formal conference room to the collaborative energy of a breakout lounge and the peaceful ambiance of a relaxation zone. It's about showing how design serves people.
This vertical video is designed for impact on social media, demonstrating how I create dynamic content that grabs attention. I focused on clean lines, clever design details like the wall-mounted chair storage, and the texture of the furniture. This format is perfect for showcasing specific products or design features in a quick, engaging way.
About Commercial & Retail Spaces
When shooting commercial interiors, the challenge is balancing wide-angle views with the intricate details that make a space feel inviting. I use a combination of natural ambient light and controlled fill flash to ensure that showrooms, office layouts, and retail displays appear exactly as they do in person, without the perspective distortion often found in wide-angle photography.
Photography for commercial projects requires a distinct approach compared to residential work. My process begins with understanding the space's flow—how customers move through a showroom or how employees interact in an office.
Technical Precision
I shoot on a Canon R6 Full Frame Mirrorless system, utilizing wide-angle lenses (15mm-35mm) to capture the scale of large venues without sacrificing sharpness. The post-processing is where the final look is cemented: I perform rigorous perspective correction to ensure vertical and horizontal architectural lines are straight.
The Commercial Difference
- HDR Blending: I use advanced HDR techniques to balance exterior window views with well-lit interiors, a critical requirement for showrooms where the outside environment is part of the appeal.
- Collaboration: I work closely with architects and interior designers to stage furniture and props for optimal composition. If required, I integrate human elements or models to demonstrate the functionality of the space.
- Deliverables: You receive high-resolution JPEGs suitable for print catalogs and large-scale hoardings, alongside optimized web images for digital collateral. I also provide vertical video reels, specifically edited for social media platforms, capturing the dynamic movement through the space.
