About Our Potting & Care Process
It is not just about moving a plant into a container. We prepare every plant using a custom blend of cocopeat, perlite, and organic compost that we mix ourselves. This creates the specific drainage and nutrient balance that indoor plants like succulents and peace lilies actually need to stay healthy in a home environment.
When you choose a plant from our boutique, you are getting a specimen that has been cleaned, pruned, and misted before it even reaches your hands. We believe that the foundation of a happy plant parent journey starts with the quality of the soil and the health of the root system.
The Gard Ecoz Process
Every plant you see undergoes a standard preparation routine:
- Soil Preparation: We avoid generic nursery soil. We use a well-draining mix of red earth, cocopeat, and compost. This helps prevent root rot, which is the most common issue for indoor plants.
- Plant Grooming: Each plant is manually inspected for pests, cleaned of dry or damaged leaves, and pruned to encourage new, healthy growth.
- Potting: Whether it is a basic plastic planter for event distribution or a premium ceramic pot for a desk, we ensure the plant is settled correctly with enough space for roots to expand.
- Custom Packaging: For gifting or bulk orders, we use our signature corrugated cardboard boxes. These include a display window and a carrying handle, designed specifically to keep the plant stable and upright during transit.
Why This Matters
Most store-bought plants fail because they are packed in soil that holds too much water or they are stressed during transport. By managing the potting process ourselves at our Malleswaram center, we eliminate these risks.
