Our Shelter Pups and Rescue Work
Every little tail deserves a safe place to land. We dedicate space in our facility to nurture pups in need, giving them the love, care, and social skills they need while they wait for their forever families.
This little puppy is one of our shelter residents. Here, one of my team members is using positive reinforcement to teach him some basic commands and build his confidence. Every dog deserves a chance.
About Our Shelter Pups
These pups come to us often timid or unsure of human touch. Instead of keeping them isolated, we integrate them into our daily daycare routines, letting them learn socialization skills from our resident dogs and gentle, patient handling from my team to help them build trust.
My rescue work is not just about providing food and shelter. It is about rehabilitation. Many of the pups who arrive here have been abandoned or left to fend for themselves, which leaves them anxious or fearful of people. We use positive reinforcement to show them that humans are safe.
How We Help
When a pup comes into our care, we start slow. We have a secure, quiet space where they can decompress without the pressure of being around too many dogs at once. Once they are ready, we bring them into our park at our Gandipet and Bhondsi facilities. Here, they get to watch other happy dogs playing, running, and swimming. Seeing that behavior helps them come out of their shell.
Life at the Shelter
- Confidence Building: My team works on basic commands and leash walking. It is not about obedience for the sake of it, but about giving them a routine and a sense of accomplishment.
- Socialization: They learn how to read other dogs and play properly, which is essential for when they eventually move to a new home.
- Health and Comfort: Every pup gets the same fresh, home-cooked meals as our boarding guests. They sleep in our climate-controlled cabins, so they are always warm and comfortable.

Furry Affair
I started this work because I wanted every dog to have a chance at a happy life, just like my own pups. My place is a sanctuary where shelter dogs get to be just that—dogs, who play, learn, and grow until they find their forever family.
