Gymnastics Training and Skills in Action
See what happens when focus meets fun. From first stretches to advanced tumbling, here is a glimpse into how our athletes build strength and confidence every day.
Warming up is key! Our coaches lead a group of new students in essential stretches during our Open House event. Proper stretching is the first step to safe gymnastics.
Practice can be a party! Our Development Teams having a blast during a Luau-themed Spring Break practice, balancing on the beam with leis and grass skirts.
Our athletes are ready for the Region 3 High-Performance Camp at WOGA Gymnastics. These camps are a fantastic opportunity for our gymnasts to learn from the best.
Happy National Gymnastics Day from our Xcel and JD teams! We love celebrating this sport with our amazing community of athletes.
About this collection
At Fun & Fitness, we keep the energy high and the intimidation low. Whether your child is mastering a basic cartwheel or prepping for Regionals, we use our 40x40 ft spring floor and foam pits to let them test their limits safely. We believe if they are having a blast, they are learning faster, which is why you will see us mixing serious conditioning with themed dress-up days and pure, high-energy fun.
Our gym is set up as a playground for progress. When you walk onto our floor, you are not just seeing kids in leotards; you are seeing the result of a deliberate, step-by-step approach to skill development.
The Progression
We meet students exactly where they are. Our youngest athletes start with motor skill development using soft equipment, cheese mats, and obstacle courses. As they grow, we shift focus to USAG curriculum-based training. You will see our classes rotating through Olympic apparatus like uneven bars, balance beams, and vault tables. For those ready to compete, our advanced training includes dedicated strength conditioning and biomechanics work on the strap bars.
Why the Gear Matters
Safety is not just a rule, it is built into the environment. We use deep in-ground foam pits so that when a student is attempting a new flip or tuck, the landing is soft and impact-free. This allows them to commit to the skill without the fear of falling on a hard surface. Our spring floor and Tumble Trak are designed to give them the right bounce and support as they transition from basic tumbling to complex aerial movements.
The Competitive Edge
While many of our students attend for recreation, we do have a dedicated pathway for those who want to compete. You will see our competitive teams training with intensity, but you will also see them supporting each other, cheering, and celebrating every small milestone. We believe that training at a high level does not require a 'drill sergeant' atmosphere. We keep the discipline, we keep the focus, and we definitely keep the fun.
Fun & Fitness
We are the crew that cheers the loudest, even when we are just working on basic conditioning. We are all about that balance, helping kids nail that back handspring while keeping the atmosphere light enough that they actually want to come back for the next class.
