Preserving Your Wedding Accessories in Resin
Your wedding day was filled with little details that tell a big story. From your bridal kaliras and chooda to that special wedding invitation, I can turn these keepsakes into permanent resin art.
Beyond varmalas, I also preserve other precious wedding accessories. Here, I've encased a bride's beautiful golden kaliras in a personalized resin plaque, creating a unique memento that captures the essence of her bridal look.
This piece was more than just a varmala preservation. The client also wanted to include her bridal chooda, mang tika, and the groom's mala, all in one 14x14 lighted frame.
A truly special keepsake: preserving the couple's first handprints after their wedding. This is a beautiful way to capture the beginning of your journey together.
Turning memories into art by preserving a beautiful wedding card in resin. The card is encased in a sea-blue border with pearls, creating a timeless keepsake.
A daughter asked me to preserve her parents' 25-year-old wedding card as an anniversary gift. It was an honor to turn such a precious piece of family history into a forever keepsake.
"And we created you in pairs." Preserving this first wedding invitation with a beautiful Quran verse in a clear resin plaque with scattered rose petals.
A dual-sided photo frame that preserves the wedding invitation on one side and a photo on the other, all surrounded by preserved flowers in a rich teak wood frame.
About this collection
Sending your precious items like bridal kaliras, chooda, or original wedding invitations requires a bit of care. Unlike flowers, these items have different textures and shapes, so I need to plan the layout specifically to fit them securely. Drop me a message with a photo of the items you want to preserve, and let's figure out the right frame size and design before you ship them over to my studio.
Beyond The Flowers
People often think resin art is just for preserving wedding varmalas, but there is so much more we can do. Your wedding accessories, like your bridal chooda, golden kaliras, or even your first handwritten wedding invitation, carry the same emotional weight. I take these everyday objects and treat them with the same care as fresh flowers to ensure they remain a part of your home décor forever.
How The Process Works
When you decide to preserve an object that isn't a flower, the approach changes slightly:
- Material Assessment: Paper invitations, metal kaliras, and fabric chooda react differently to resin. I make sure to seal these materials so they don't discolor or react with the epoxy.
- Custom Layouts: I create mockups before the final pour. This is crucial because bulky items like bangles need to be positioned so the frame closes properly without trapping air bubbles.
- The 20-Day Rule: Just like my flower preservation, I never rush the curing process. I need about 20 days to ensure everything is stable, clear, and perfectly set.
Can I Preserve Anything?
I love a creative challenge. Whether it is a 25-year-old wedding card or a custom handprint frame, if it is special to you, I will find a way to preserve it. If you have an item you are unsure about, send me a photo on WhatsApp. I will be honest about what is possible and what might be tricky. Remember, we are handling pieces of your history, not just random objects, so we get it right the first time.
