About this collection
For Muslim bridal looks, the dupatta weight is the biggest challenge. If the pinning isn't done with the right padding and hair base, it pulls at your scalp and ruins the hairstyle. In my studio, we use structural pinning techniques that keep your dupatta and jhoomar secure for hours without feeling heavy, so you can enjoy your ceremony without constant touch-ups.

Whether you are planning a traditional Nikah or a glamorous Walima reception, the preparation is different. For the Nikah, I focus on soft, defined features that look radiant in daylight photography. For the Walima, we often lean towards more dramatic eye makeup and bold lip colours that stand out under stage lighting.
Why Technique Matters
Because I teach these skills at my academy, I am very particular about product longevity. We use waterproof, sweat-resistant bases that are tested to last 8-10 hours, which is vital for the humidity in Mumbai. My students and I follow a specific checklist for every bride:
- Base Prep: Deep hydration and pore-minimizing primers suited for your skin type.
- Jewellery Setting: Professional fixing of the jhoomar and tikka so they don't shift during the ceremony.
- Dupatta Draping: We secure the head-veil to withstand movement, ensuring you aren't fighting with pins.
