A throwback to 2019 when I showcased my 'Aquatic' inspired resort wear collection at Global Fashion Design Week. This was a huge moment for me and it reminds me of my roots as a costume and fashion designer.
About My Design Journey
My styling process is an organised mess of fabric, sketches, and a lot of chai. I don’t just pick clothes for you; I look for pieces that balance 'saadgi' (graceful simplicity) with your natural personality. Whether it’s an abstract saree for a red carpet event or a costume for a period film, my goal is to make sure you look polished, not just dressed up. If you are looking for someone who actually listens to your vibe instead of just forcing trends on you, we will get along great.
My design journey started with a love for textiles and culture, moving from college runway shows to professional costume design for the Telugu film industry. Fashion is not just about what you wear; it is about how you feel in it. I have learned this through my work on projects like 'Prasanna Vadanam' and various editorial shoots where character and comfort are paramount.
How I Approach Styling
When I work with a client for personal or event styling here in Hyderabad, we start by ignoring the trends. I want to know what makes you feel like yourself. We will look at your existing wardrobe, add the right statement jewellery, and find that perfect balance of comfort and style.
My services include:
- Event Styling: From bridal events to movie premieres, I handle everything from mood board creation to on-site draping.
- Costume Design: For film and ad shoots, I focus on script breakdown and continuity to make sure every look fits the character and the era.
- Editorial Shoot Styling: I create distinct avatars for portfolios and commercial shoots, ensuring we capture your best range in every frame.
