Project Sakura: A 3BHK Home Inspired by Cherry Blossoms
Bringing nature indoors is the soul of this 3BHK apartment in Purva Zenium. We worked closely with artists to weave a narrative of cherry blossoms and autumn leaves through every room, creating a home that feels like a unified piece of art.
A wider view of the Sakura living room, showing how the hand-painted vines on the left wall balance the cherry blossom tree on the right. The design ensures that every element, from the purple TV console to the soft furnishings, is part of a single, harmonious story.
Another angle of the master bedroom, showcasing how the autumn mural extends over the bed with a custom-built wooden beam structure. The integrated lighting creates the feeling of being enveloped by a canopy of leaves, making the room a true sanctuary.
This bedroom in the Sakura project feels like spring all year round. The cherry blossom mural wraps around the room, with delicate birds in flight. The soft ceiling glow and curved mirror add to the dreamlike quality of the space.
Here, the cherry blossom theme continues onto the wardrobe doors, integrating storage seamlessly into the room's artistic narrative. The hand-painted details ensure that even functional elements contribute to the overall beauty of the design.
In this whimsical bedroom, I combined two murals: an apple orchard on the arched panels and cherry blossoms on the wardrobe. This space was designed to grow with a child, blending storytelling with a style that sparks imagination.
This is the original 3D render for the child's bedroom. It demonstrates my process of visualizing the final design, ensuring the hand-painted murals, furniture, and lighting all work together before execution begins.
A closer look at the master bedroom mural, where the branches and leaves are painted with intricate detail. Paired with soft textures and natural light from the sheer drapes, this corner is a perfect balance of art and comfort.
About this collection
Notice how the cherry blossom mural flows from the wall directly onto the wardrobe shutters in the bedroom? We design these hand-painted transitions to make small rooms feel expansive rather than cluttered. When you are planning your walls, consider that extending a single motif onto furniture, rather than framing it within a single wall, creates a continuous visual story that anchors the entire room.
In the Sakura project, our goal was to move away from conventional wallpaper. We wanted the home to breathe. The living room uses a soft, curved gypsum ceiling with embedded profile lighting, mimicking a canopy, while the hand-painted cherry blossoms serve as the primary focal point.
The kitchen is perhaps the boldest expression of this theme. We paired deep red tiles with purple cabinetry. It is a risky combination, but by balancing the intensity with neutral stone counters and delicate hand-painted vines trailing across the ceiling, the space feels harmonious.
For the bedrooms, we focused on longevity. The apple orchard mural in the child's room was designed to transition well as she grows, moving away from childish themes toward something more atmospheric. The furniture uses high-grade BWR plywood, ensuring that these artistic elements sit on a foundation that will last for years.
If you are looking to bring similar storytelling elements into your home, we suggest starting with the mood you want to evoke. Whether it is the quiet of a spring morning or the warmth of an autumn evening, defining that emotion first allows us to select the right murals, lighting, and textures to match.
