The Art of Craftsmanship: Behind Our Wedding Suites
Every invitation and keepsake we create begins as a vision. Step into our workshop to see how we blend tradition, meticulous handwork, and modern design into your wedding milestones.
Ideas ignite, and art begins. This video offers a peek into my creative process, from designing the pomegranate motif on a computer to the large-scale printing and final quality checks before the pieces are assembled.
This video shows the meticulous process of creating my wedding invitations. It follows the journey from the design team's initial sketches to the hands of our artisans sewing potli bags and carefully cutting each invitation, ensuring perfection in every piece.
About this collection
Here, the magic lies in the details that machines simply cannot replicate. From the precision of the laser-cut patterns to the steady hand that seals each envelope with a wax seal or silk tie, our artisans treat every piece as a signature. It is not mass production; it is a labor of love where we align color palettes, check foil depths, and ensure the satin lining sits perfectly, so when your guests receive your invite, they feel the care woven into the paper.
From Concept to Keepsake
Creating a wedding suite is a journey that moves from a blank screen to a cherished heirloom. Our process is rooted in a simple philosophy: if it isn't crafted with soul, it isn't Ekaani.
The Design Phase
Everything starts with a sketch. Whether it is translating the architectural motifs of Jaisalmer or the delicate strokes of Pichwai art, our design team spends hours perfecting monograms and venue illustrations. We focus on the interplay of heavy-stock paper textures—typically 300 GSM for inserts—and the metallic depth of our gold foil stamping. We provide unlimited digital proofs because we know that the difference between a good invite and a great one is often a single line of text or a shade of color.
The Hands of the Artisan
Once the design is locked, the workshop takes over. We move from digital art to physical production, utilizing:
- Rigid Kappa Board Construction: Essential for the magnetic closures of our invitation boxes.
- Precision Foiling: Applying heat and pressure to ensure the metallic elements catch the light just right.
- Manual Assembly: This is where the human element shines. Our artisans hand-sew potli bags, carefully place satin linings, and check the structural integrity of every trunk or cabinet invite.
Quality Assurance
We do not believe in rushed finishes. Every piece undergoes a final check for alignment, adhesive clean-up, and material defects. Whether you are ordering a simple paper suite or a grand MDF trunk with silver-plated keepsakes, we ensure the unboxing experience—the satisfying click of a magnetic lid or the weight of the box—is as memorable as the event itself.
Ekaani
I see my workshop as a sanctuary where your stories take shape. We don’t just assemble boxes or cards; we translate your wedding journey into tangible heirlooms using methods refined by our team.
