We don't just read books; we jump into them. Through shadow puppetry, live music, and cultural storytelling, we help kids connect with the world around them in ways that stick.

Celebrating the incredible diversity of our country on Republic Day. Our littles came dressed in traditional attire, sharing food and stories from their families, and learning that our differences are what make us beautiful.

We use embodied expression to learn about the world. Here, I am demonstrating the movement of a river, from a majestic glacier to a playful waterfall, set to the beautiful rhythms of Indian classical music.

Every session is filled with music! Here is Rini with her ukulele, singing a song about marine life during our 'Water Worlds' week. Live music gets our littles moving, singing, and learning.

No day is complete without a story. We use a diverse range of books to introduce themes, build vocabulary, and spark imagination, from classics like 'Tiddler' to stories about hermit crabs.

We took a virtual trip to the backwaters of Kerala to learn about the famous snake boat race. This led to a fun movement activity where we tried to row our own "boats" in rhythm, learning about culture and coordination.

Our curriculum is rich with stories, music, and cultural explorations. This collection shows the variety of books we read, the activities we do, and the celebrations we share to broaden our children's horizons.

About this collection

Every song or story we pick isn't random. It is chosen to match our current theme, like using 'Tiddler' to learn about ocean life or reenacting the Kerala snake boat race to understand rhythm. When you bring your child here, you won't get rote memorization. You get a child who actually understands the culture and logic behind the stories they hear.

At Earthlings, storytelling is the heartbeat of our day. We use books to build vocabulary, but we rarely just sit still. If we are reading about a garden, we are out in ours finding bugs. If we are learning about rivers, we use the rhythms of Indian classical music to mimic the flow of water. It is about embodied expression, helping kids feel the story in their bodies before they process it in their heads.

Cultural exploration is just as hands-on. Whether we are hosting professional shadow puppetry workshops or celebrating Republic Day with traditional textiles and potlucks, we focus on connection. We choose books and themes that reflect a diverse range of authors and visual styles to show kids that their world is bigger than just one perspective.

Our sessions are structured to bridge that gap between focused attention and physical movement. Rini often uses her ukulele, Red, to intersperse activities with music, allowing children to work off restlessness while learning concepts. We keep our groups small, usually around 8 kids, so every child gets the space to participate, ask questions, or just get silly with us. If you are looking for a space in RMV 2nd Stage where learning feels less like a lesson and more like a shared experience, come join us for a session.

We are two foodies who stumbled into running a preschool because we wanted a place where kids can truly be kids. We don't believe in boring drills. We believe in getting muddy, singing loud, and sharing stories that last a lifetime.
