About Future Stars: Youth & Kids Coaching
If you are wondering how we start, it is simple. We do not complicate things with fancy tactics on day one. We begin by teaching your child how to hold the ball and move with it. We focus on fundamentals like stationary dribbling and form shooting in a safe, outdoor environment so they build confidence before moving to game tactics.
Building the Foundation
Basketball is more than just a game. It is about zidd (stubborn passion) and mehnat (hard work). At Dribbling Drills, we start kids as young as six because that is when they build the muscle memory that lasts a lifetime. Our foundation batch is specifically designed for beginners who are picking up a basketball for the first time.
What We Focus On
- Ball Handling: We start with single ball dribbling and cone drills to ensure kids are comfortable with the ball.
- Shooting Form: Before shooting baskets, we teach layups and close-range form. Getting the mechanics right early saves a lot of trouble later.
- Footwork: Basketball is played with your feet. We use ladder drills and sprints to improve agility and coordination.
- Teamwork: We run fun group drills so kids learn to pass and communicate with their peers.
