About Botanical & Spice Scented Candles
We use a single-pour technique for these candles to ensure a smooth, clean finish without surface cracks. When lit, the flame gently warms the star anise, cloves, and dried petals, releasing a consistent fragrance that fills your space without overpowering it.
These are not mass-produced candles where the scent fades after an hour. We pour each candle using AA+ grade soy wax, which provides a clean burn without the black soot often associated with cheaper paraffin blends.
For this botanical and spice collection, the vessel is as important as the wax. We use unglazed terracotta pots because they hold heat effectively and add an earthy aesthetic. Once the candle finishes, the pots are easy to clean and can be reused as planters or desktop holders.
The whole spices—cinnamon sticks, star anise, and cloves—are not just decorations. We position them strategically so they do not clog the wick. As the wax pool forms, the heat releases the natural aromatics of the spices and essential oils. This is what we refer to as a strong hot throw.
