Outdoor Kids Portraits

When we head out for an outdoor portrait session, the whole point is to ditch the pressure. Kids usually get stiff in front of a giant lens in a dark studio. Outside, in a park or even just a backyard in Chidambaram, they forget I’m even there.

Why skip the studio for a day?

It is all about movement. If your kid is a runner, we capture that energy. If they are a dreamer who likes to sit and look at flowers, we catch that too. I do not ask them to say cheese. I ask them to play, and I shoot around that.

What to expect

• No forced smiles: We embrace the messy hair, grass stains, and untied shoelaces. That is what makes them who they are.
• The Golden Hour: I love shooting during early mornings or late afternoons for that soft, natural glow that looks way better than any artificial light setup.
• Comfort is key: Bring their favorite toy, snacks, or even their tricycle. If they get tired, we take a break. No rush, no stress.

Whether you want a simple portrait or a full-on playful session, we keep it light. We travel around Chidambaram and Arani to find the best spots—sometimes a quiet street or a local park is all we need to get photos that look nothing like standard school portraits.
