The Nauvari isn't just clothing; it is a symbol of heritage and grace. Whether you are a bride-to-be looking for that perfect Peshwai drape or an aspiring artist wanting to master the technique, I am here to guide you through every pleat.

A modern twist on the traditional Nauvari. Here I am demonstrating how to drape a Nauvari with pants, a fusion style that is both comfortable and chic, perfect for festive occasions.

About The Art of Nauvari

Getting a Nauvari to sit perfectly is not just about tucking fabric; it is about managing volume. In my masterclasses, I focus heavily on the 'kashta'—the back tuck—because that is where most people struggle. If you do not balance the fabric density correctly, the pleats feel heavy and uncomfortable within an hour. I teach you how to secure the drape so you can move, sit, and dance freely without having to re-adjust.

Why the Nine-Yard Wonder is Different

The Nauvari requires a specific understanding of fabric flow. Unlike a regular six-yard drape, this style is structural. I often see people trying to force a stiff silk into a fluid drape, which just does not work. During my sessions, we discuss how different fabrics—from soft cottons to heavy Paithanis—react to the traditional nine-yard measurements.

Mastering the Techniques I Teach

  • The Peshwai Style: This is the royal drape. We focus on getting the central pleats sharp and even. It is all about the symmetry of the fall.
  • Six-to-Nine Conversion: You do not always need a nine-yard saree to get the look. I show you the technique to achieve the full Nauvari silhouette using a standard six-yard drape, which is a game-changer for events where you want versatility.
  • Pre-pleating for Brides: If you are a bride, you do not have hours to get ready. My pre-pleating method ensures you are camera-ready in minutes, not hours.

Let’s Create Magic

Whether you are joining my 3-day certification masterclass to start your own career or hiring me to drape you for your wedding, my focus remains the same: comfort, elegance, and authenticity. You are not just wearing a saree; you are wearing history. Let us make it look effortless.
