About Versatile Draping Styles

In my masterclasses, you do not just watch demos; you are hands-on from the start. I insist that every student brings their own heavy-duty iron and practice sarees because the technique is in the muscle memory, not just the theory. Whether you are perfecting the front pallu of a Gujarati drape or tightening an Infinity style, you practice every pleat until it holds securely for an entire event.

Learning to drape is about understanding fabric flow and structural integrity. My workshops focus on the mechanics behind the beauty. When I teach styles like the Gujarati drape, we break down the pre-pleating process to ensure it stays crisp, even when you are moving around. For fusion and Infinity styles, the challenge is creating a gown-like silhouette without using any cuts or stitches. We look at how different fabric textures, from heavy Kanjivarams to flowy georgettes, react to steam versus dry ironing and how to pin them so the drape feels invisible yet unbreakable.

What You Will Master

  • Regional Specialties: From the 15-yard Peshwai and classic Nauvari to the front-pallu Gujarati style, you learn the cultural nuances that define these looks.
  • Modern Fusion: We cover Infinity draping, dhoti styles, and double-dupatta bridal settings, giving you a toolkit for modern fashion needs.
  • Foundations: Every great drape starts with preparation. You will learn box folding, essential pinning techniques, and how to use tools to make your work look professional in minutes rather than hours.

Whether you are a makeup professional looking to add a service to your portfolio or a saree enthusiast wanting to level up, my sessions in Pune, Mumbai, and Delhi are designed to get you 'field-ready'. You leave with the same certification I award my own team, having proven your ability to execute these styles under pressure. I want you to walk away confident that you can handle any fabric and any client request.
